肯茂R5WT-979是外形尺寸为5U 19"机架式，带有10.4” TFT LCD 采用Intel Pentium 4 LGA 775处理器的工业工作站平台。R5WT-979是基于Intel socket 775 Pentium 4 / Celeron架构和PICMG工业标准而设计，它采用Intel Pentium 4 / Celeron LGA 775 CPU @ 800/533 MHz FSB和DDR II内存，板载Intel 915GV芯片（已集成GMA 900），另外还配备了3个千兆网口，AC97 3D音频和高速USB 2.0，以及M – Systems DiskOnChip嵌入式闪存接口和高扩展性的多种PCI / ISA扩展插槽可供选择。

强大的运算能力

因为内置了采用Intel 915GV芯片组的肯茂FS-979 PICMG CPU卡，而且可采用Intel mPGA775 Pentium 4 / Celeron CPU @ 800/533 MHz FSB 和4 GB of DDR II 533/400内存，保证了R5WT-979强大的运算能力。

Intel 915GV图形处理方案

肯茂R5WT-979内置肯茂FS-979型号的PICMG Pentium 4 DDR II CPU卡。提供了板载Intel 915GV芯片（已集成GMA 900），具有动态视频存储技术支持高达64MB的共享系统内存。采用Intel NetBurst micro架构，R5WT - 979为工业PC应用中的数字视频、图象、声音处理，提供了有价值的解决方案。

高速USB 2.0接口

肯茂R5WT-979内置的是FS-979单板电脑，其采用Marvell千兆网口，可使肯茂R5WT – 979在下列应用中成为理想的解决方案：电信，电站门户和平台的测试和测量设备的应用；网络服务器和工业PC工作站平台；为CT服务器提供冗余、双速或外部/内部网络应用。

多个 PCI/ISA 扩展口

R5WT-979提供了14根PCI / ISA总线扩展接口，具有高可靠的Intel PCI bridge and/or ISA 64mA高驱动能力。另外还有可灵活扩展的包括12个PCI插槽， 1个ISA插槽， 7个PCI和5个 ISA插槽， 4个PCI和9个ISA插槽，用户可定制选用。

高可靠的系统配置

R5WT – 979的高可靠性原自于先进的做工和系统集成的解决方案如下：为嵌入式OS, driver and AP提供了板载M-systems嵌入式闪存接口界面；先进的做工提供了抗震能力；防尘空气过滤器可使其工作在恶劣环境下；冗余电源技术也增强了系统使用寿命。
